Queen Mirabel Chukwuemeka who hails from Anambra state and a student of the University of Benin studying biology. She is a professional model, fashionista, makeup artist, an influencer, a beauty queen and currently the reigning Iconic Queen Nigeria 2022. In our exclusive interview, Queen Mirabel talks about her modeling career, personal style, and much more.
What were the challenges you faced during the contest and how you overcame them?
There were actually so many challenges but little for me though, tasks were given to meet up, camp activities were stressing and competitions were high, having just the thought that it’s a competition and you might and might not come out well as wanted is already a big challenge to my part but I think I overcame all this because I decided to make up my mind, put in the hard work and build my confidence that I could do this and I did it.
What would you say stood you out from other contestants?
I don’t know but it’s God’s grace, personality and humility.
How was the bonding with other contestants?
It’s was a nice time with the other contestants but I don’t like to keep a wild or large circle of friendships so I just made few very few friends.
What was your best moments during the pageant?
In as much as am not really a foodie I still love to eat delicious meals were made, although its one of the thing i really missed, down to the dancing sections and most importantly my victory and crowning moments and lastly the time spent with the other contestants these are the best moments I had in the contest.
How long have you been in the modeling?
8 years now and it’s really has been a wonderful one.
What motivated you to contest for Iconic Queen Nigeria?
Iconic queen Nigeria brand is one of the best pageant organization in Nigeria, they keep to standard and most especially the way they put out their queens out there and fight to make them better version of themselves so I said to myself this is the perfect brand to work with and be a better person of myself so I gave a trial and that’s it.
How has winning this pageant changed your life?
They are so much but will mention few…my personality changed, I grow from me to a better me , I get a lot of favors all around representing just the brand alone and recognitions are massive even till date.
What should we expect from your reign?
A lot but for the little I can like giving back to humanity especially to the growing kids if this country.
Tell us about the pet projects you have embarked on, if any?
I have a pet project but haven’t embarked on any yet , soon it will be done.
Has been a beauty queen clashed with your personality?
Not at all…because I was able to manage both accordingly
Any bad experience since you started modeling?
Not at all because I was never desperate it has always been all about planning ahead for me.
Who is your role model?
My mom
What does the sash and crown symbolize to you?
My crown is authority and power, my sash is humanity these are what they symbolize to me.
If you were not a model, what other career would you have pursed?
A nurse
Which brands are you looking forward to work with?
International brands.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
A strong and beautiful woman doing well for herself in all shades of life.

Any advice to the aspiring models that aspire to wear the crown of Iconic Queen Nigeria?
Know that you’re beautifully made by God and can do all things , kill the doubts in your mind and try take a step forward in pursing what you want , then build that confident in you and give it a trial trust me if it’s really what you love to do you will find peace embarking on the journey.
