Queen Confiance Oluebube Victor is a professional model and a beauty queen who hails from Obowo Local Government Area in Imo State. She is the reigning Miss Teen Global Beauty Nigeria 2022 and also represented Nigeria at the 5th edition of Miss Teen Global Beauty International in Paraiba, Brazil. In this interview with Fourwall Magazine, she talked to us about her experience during the contest and her future plans…

Congratulations on emerging Miss Teen Global Beauty International, 2nd Princess, how does that make you feel?

Thank You so much, well, preparing for an international pageant is not an easy task so I am so happy God crowned all my efforts. The feeling is surreal.

What was the first thought that came to your mind when you were announced?

Oh finally I made it, I got the pink crown, oh yea…

Tell us about the challenges you faced during the contest and how you overcame them?

I faced so many challenges, from getting my international passport to getting my visa, and getting a boarding pass at the Lagos international airport, it was a battle but that is a story for another day. They were really challenging moments but God came through for us all.

What would you say stood you out from other contestants?

My personality.

How was the bonding with other girls?

Well, bonding with other girls was not quite difficult all thanks to google translator for those that don’t speak English and French .

How was your experience during the contest in Brazil?

It was an amazing experience. I was so happy to be part of the 5th edition of the Miss Teen Global Beauty International Pageant. I got the opportunity to meet amazing girls from around the world and learnt new things.

How long have you been in the modeling?

4 years now.

What motivated you to contest in Miss Teen Global Beauty Nigeria?

Miss Teen Global Beauty Nigeria has an aim of grooming teenage girls to become worthy role models and global change makers. So that inspired me.

How has winning the pageant changed your life?

It has given me a platform to become a global change maker and it’s a thing to be forever grateful for.

Have you done any pet project yet? if yes, tell us about it

I was crowned in April 2022 and I was focused on preparing for the international contest, now that I am done and back from Brazil plans are ongoing for me to kick start my project.

It symbolizes royalty and power and that is enough reason to keep my head up high and act it.

Has been a Beauty Queen ever clashed with your personality?

Being a beauty Queen has never clashed with my personality It has only made me more confident about myself.

Any bad experience since you started modeling?

Every model has a story and every beauty queen has story too. So yes I have had bad experiences but I didn’t let them weigh me down.

Who is your role model?

I have no role model, humans would always be humans I look up to the person I envision myself to be. 

What does the sash and crown symbolize to you?

It symbolizes royalty and power and that is enough reason to keep my head up high and act it. 

If you were not a model, what other career would you have pursed?

I would have been an Athlete. 

Tell us more about yourself?

My name is Confiance Oluebube Victor, I am from Obowo Local Government Area in Imo State. I am a Christian and I hold a national diploma certificate in chemical engineering from Imo State polytechnic. I am currently registered to get my Bsc in chemical engineering. I am a beauty queen, reigning Miss Teen Global Beauty Nigeria 2022 and i represented Nigeria at the 5th edition of Miss Teen Global Beauty International in Paraiba, Brazil. I won some outstanding awards “best model” and “best national costume”. I speak 3 languages English, Igbo and French. My advocacy is centered on caring for children living with cancer.

I am a very hard working individual, a good timekeeper, always willing to learn new skills, i am friendly, helpful and polite, i have a good sense of humor. I am outgoing and tactful. Throughout my pageant journey, I’ve won some outstanding awards such as Miss Honesty and currently Miss Elegance.

I Have a foundation called “You first foundation” this foundation, just as the name implies “You first” Is here  because I want to be able to impact into so many lives by putting their needs first. It’s like an NGO. I believe in challenging my fears to become a greater person.

Which brands are looking forward to work with?

I am open to any brand that wishes to work with me.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

I see myself in a comfortable space where I would be proud of what I have achieved, and what I would achieve. 

Any message to all the aspiring teen girls who dream to Miss Teen Global Beauty Nigeria?

Always see situations with silver linings. And do not ever feel less of yourself because you can do anything if you put your mind into it.
