Abigail Philips popularly known as “Queen Arbie” is a model and a beauty queen, the reigning Queen of Most Beautiful Girlin Niger Delta (Peace Ambassador). She hails from Ukpenekang in Ibeno local government area of Akwa-Ibom state and from a family of two.
In this interview with Fourwall Magazine, she spoke about her journey in the modeling industry, winning a crown and her plan for the future.

HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN YOU WERE ANNOUNCED THE WINNER?
Pretty excited and overwhelmed, it was a dream come true for me and I was proud of myself.
IN YOUR WORD, WHAT DO YOU THINK STOOD YOU OUT FROM THE OTHER CONTESTANTS?
Hard work, focus and confident.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE MODELING INDUSTRY?
I started modeling at the age of 10 through the help of my cousin who was into modeling in one of the agencies in Port-Harcourt. But I paused because I wanted to focus on my studies. And after I graduated 3 years ago I went back to modeling (Full time).
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE ASA MODEL?
Haven’t really face challenges.

It’s been amazing honestly, representing my brand anywhere I find myself.
HOW HAVE YOU BEEN COPING WITH THE TASK OF BEING A QUEEN?
Yea, It’s indeed a task but I always pull through by God’s grace
DO YOU SHARE THE MINORITY PERCEPTION THAT A CONTESTANT MUST SLEEP HER WAY TO TAKE THE CROWN?
No I don’t. I didn’t sleep my way to take the crown. I believe in hard work.
HAVE YOU DONE ANY PET PROJECT, IF YES, TELL US ABOUT IT
Yes, Distribution of face mask to pupils in secondary schools in my community. The pet project was carried out last year during the COVID-19 pandemic.
WHICH BRANDS WOULD YOU LIKE TO MODEL FOR?
GUCCI-Gucci is a Luxury fashion house based in Florence, Italy. I love Gucci.
IF YOU ARE GIVING POWER TO CHANGE ONE THING IN THE NIGERIA MODELING INDUSTRY, WHAT WOULD THST BE?
Unity. I think this is lacking in modeling industry in Nigeria.
DO YOU INTEND TO GO FOR INTERNATIONAL PAGEANT?
Yes, currently I am contesting for the 13th Nigerian queen.
WHAT IS YOUR ULTIMATE AIM IN LIFE?
I’ve always had the aim of being of great value to my society, to be an outstanding youth with great potentials.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS?
In 5 years I see myself doing exploits, doing great things for my community and country (Giving back to the society). Impacting lives, reaching out to the less privileged people for the love of humanity, and lot more
THERE ARE SOME ASPIRING MODELS OUT THERE LOOKING FORWARD TO WIN A CROWN, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO THEM?
I’d advise them to always believe in themselves… Work hard and trust the process.
