Akinola Oluwademilade Olamilekan is a 6 years old kid model who hails from Abeokuta in Ogun State. He emerged the winner of Star Kid of the Year 2022 organized by Kidsaresuperstars. In this interview with Fourwall Magazine, he talks about the experience during the contest and future ambitions.
Your journey so far in the modeling industry?
I started modeling when I was a toddler but got fully involved at age 4 with several grooming from my Mum and trainings from experts. Merging Academics with modeling has not been easy but I give thanks to God with support from my parents, I have been able to manage so far.
How was the experience during contest?
It was really a great experience, though a little challenging because it’s an online contest that requires money to vote. I felt a little nervous as it was in two (2) stages and seeing daily result from other contestants. But I love the experience.
How does it feel winning the Star Kid of the Year?
It gave me joy doing something I love and also boosted my confidence that I can do more in modeling.
What inspired you to join modeling?
I just love posing for pictures. My parents saw this and groomed it to where I am today.
Are you pursuing modeling as a career or it’s just a fun for you?
Both! It’s fun for me and I’m also considering making a career out of it.
Which was your first shoot, and how did you like it?
My first shoot was for my Church Gods Chamber Church. It was such a great opportunity and still seeing my face on the bill board and fliers made then as a toddler gives me great joy.
Who is your superhero?
My Parents.
What brands have you worked with in the past?
I have worked with a lot of brands some of which are OREKSPLACE, JMK FABRICS, Gods Chamber Church etc.
How has winning this title impacted in your life?
So far so good it’s an experience that is unfolding.
Are you willing to travel?
Yes! I’m willingly to Travel.
Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?
I see myself going global on bigger screens, even beyond Modeling.
