Burna Boy Mocks Reekado Banks After He Proposed A Music Challenge

Twitter was put on blast yesterday after Nigerian music superstar, Burna Boy, belittled Reekado Banks’ credentials on the platform.

The ‘African Giant’ crooner engaged his Twitter followers in a Q&A session on the microblogging app, where he answered their questions on a range of topics.

One of the questions that was asked by a follower was about a face-off with any Nigerian artist of choice.

On Monday night, music producers, Shizzi and Sarz, went up against each other on IG live as they thrilled fans with some of the classic and current hits produced by them.

It was an exciting 2 hours plus stream, with over 18 thousand people live on the stream at one time.

That seemed to have got the fans all spiced up that they have been asking their favourite artists to do something similar.

On responding to the request of the fan, Burna posted that he is ready to face off with any worthy challenger, lyrically, musically and physically.

“I don’t really know what a hit battle is but I’m willing to go toe to toe with ANY worthy challenger. Lyrically, musically, physically. However they want it,” the Grammy award nominee wrote.

The offer seemed to entice former Mavin Records artist, Reekado Banks, who quoted the tweet and said: “@Burnaboy I’m game that energy let’s get it.”

Burna Boy’s response to Reekado was unexpected and probably the most savage response from an artist to a fellow artist this year, and it got fans talking.

The singer, who is regarded as the best artist in the country at the moment, started his response with a ‘laughter’ emoji before smoking his compatriot.
