We are really excited to announce that Okaibe Beatrice is our July 2020 Model of the Month, featuring on this month newsletter. Okaibe Beatrice Ogochukwu is a plus size model who hail from Awgu in Enugu state. She’s 22 years old.
According to her, being a plus size model is not an easy one, being body shamed by people that your not cool enough to model and people telling you to loose weight /burn some fats befor thinking of modeling.
I almost gave up but I said to myself that I am black, bold, beautiful, intelligent, smart and unique and I can do it. So I went auditioned for Ada Awgu beauty and cultural pageantry. I passed the audition but was scared cause i was the only chubby contestant among them, i tried my best not just to win a crown but to be an example to all other plus size models hiding in shells to push it and be proud of themselves.
By God’s grace, my efforts wasn’t in vain as i was the First runner up for Adaawgu beauty and cultural pageant 2018/19.
All thanks to God and Adaawgu beauty and cultural pageant brand for giving me the platform and making my dream come through.
